I think I speak for many Primos when I say thank you for this podcast. Over the last 4 years, it has been one of a handful of things that made me feel less crazy as my world/peer group/industry took a nosedive into an ideological abyss. Wondering "wait, is it me or...?" was often a disorienting and lonely experience. Podcasts like BARpod were very reassuring and also helped me avoid letting the excesses of one side drive me to the excesses of the other. You and that tall guy (Jeff? Jeppe?) remain nuance pervs, and I'm grateful for your kink.

Katie Herzog speaking in a heartfelt and sincere way has been one of the oddest developments of this year. Between the Andy Mills/Matt Boll episode last month, her opening up about alcoholism, and this post, I might almost think that Katie likes some people.

I'm thankful for this podcast too. It's odd because I don't actually wade into internet drama myself all that much. The thing that BARPOD as a community does that I'm most thankful for is one that I think Jesse and Katie might not even be conscious of; it's one of the few podcasts I can think of that organically supports the ideal of pluralism. Really who else would seek to give voice to the non-binary conservative? The podcast and the community give me the impression that people with unusual beliefs or just an unusual set of beliefs (speaking as basically a conservative evangelical democratic socialist who loves guns and would like the government to remove themselves from social issues as much as possible) can still live in a healthy and functioning society and even enjoy each other's company, or at least maybe.
