Here in Seattle folx will be celebrating Ancestral Integrity. It is the embodied lineage exploration wherein all the parts of our ancestry are integrated in their wholeness. We open a conversation to explore dynamics of colonization within our own ancestry and the cycles of perpetuated harm that we remain caught in. This is an opportunity to discuss the importance of rooted ancestral work in antiracist practices, living in diaspora, settler responsibility and in the process of ancestral remembrance. We will begin to witness the cracking open in our somas for a deep sense of Belonging and ancestral connection beyond grief and shame. We explore the legacy of harm, while understanding what is underneath it, and what original earth-based traditions exist within all of our lineages while holding space for indigenous communities that are actively being colonized by examining the roles played.
*This is open to folks of all ancestries. We will be exploring cultural disconnections within all of our lineages including white folks with positionality and privilege applied to the greater context of our societal relationships.
