But every part of the system was "well, better safe than sorry" because they're not the ones getting stuck with the thousands of dollars for the ambulance ride.
The thing about that, is that none of that is the insurance companies fault. One thing some people have pointed out is that the actual culprits for our very expensive health care system is the actual providers. The insurance companies are basically low paid middle men.
